33 Destinations Receive DMAP Accreditation at Destinations International 2026 Annual Convention
7/22/2026
PORTLAND, Ore., USA – Destinations International, the world's leading trade association for destination organizations, announced that nine (9) destination organizations received Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP) accreditation in recognition of their commitment to industry excellence and meeting the industry standard for performance and accountability of destination marketing organizations around the world. An additional twenty-four (24) received reaccreditation. The announcement was made at Destinations International’s 2026 Annual Convention in Porland, Oregon, USA.
Several organizations achieved accreditation with distinction, an honor reserved for those destination organizations that go beyond meeting the required standards of accreditation to truly showcase the breadth of their operation and their commitment to advancing the destination they serve.
“We are pleased to welcome these destination organizations to the distinguished DMAP community,” said Don Welsh, president & CEO of Destinations International. “DMAP accreditation reflects a strong commitment to organizational excellence, accountability and service to the communities these organizations represent. We are grateful to the DMAP Board for its leadership and continued stewardship of this important industry program.”
“Achieving DMAP accreditation demonstrates that a destination organization meets the highest standards of professional practice,” said Patrick Kaler, president & CEO of Visit Buffalo and chair of the DMAP Board. “It provides stakeholders with confidence that the organization has the leadership, systems and expertise required to strengthen the visitor economy and create lasting value for visitors and residents alike.”
