DESIGN AWARDS

In years past, Exhibit Design Award jurors praised winners for their clean and simple designs. But it seems that the trend toward sleek minimalism has stepped aside to allow space for fantasy and maximalism. This year's jurors used words like "thrilling," "glam," "stunning," and even "wild." One juror went so far as to express a desire to immediately U-Haul it into the exhibit and move in. Interested in seeing what inspired such passion? The following pages highlight the 10 winners and nine honorable mentions that proved that although minimalism might offer a respite from a frenetic show floor, sometimes the only answer to "loud" is "louder."
