![]() Cradled against the jagged, snow-capped backdrop of the Wasatch Mountains, the newly built Utah Valley Convention Center (UVCC) weaves state-of-the-art style into historic downtown Provo. Christened this past May, the convention center boasts 84,000 square feet of combined meeting, event, and prefunction space, including 19,600 square feet of contiguous exhibit halls and another 16,900 square feet of ballrooms - each with dividers to meet varying facility needs. Expansive glass walls on this Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)-certified building show off the dramatic vista, and a 5,500-square-foot rooftop garden beckons visitors to enjoy the unmatched view.

There are no union requirements at the UVCC, meaning exhibitors may set up their own displays or hire contractors to do so. Exhibitors may also hire venue staff to assist them. However, exhibit-related rigging must go through the venue's audiovisual department, and all in-booth electrical requirements must be arranged through UVCC engineers. The Chef's Table is a good choice for upscale client dinners and off-site receptions. Groups of up to 45 people can be accommodated in the restaurant's private dining areas. The facility does not currently have a business center, though one
is planned for the future. Graphics and printing needs can be serviced by a variety
of local businesses. Audiovisual equipment and rental furniture are available through the facility, but furniture may only be ordered if the UVCC is the show decorator. |
