The Trade Group Augments its Live Event and Activations Services with a New Special Events Team

To meet clients’ rapidly evolving needs in these areas, the company officially launched a Special Events Team. According to David Stone, VP of Operations at The Trade Group, “Client needs continued to push our project managers in directions we had never been. Consequently, we felt it was necessary to create a group that had a broad set of skills but with the focus to meet the needs of these unique events and activations.” The Trade Group’s Guy DiMarco has been named as Manager of the Special Events Team. DiMarco is responsible for leading the charge of organizing the team and continuing to recruit experienced event professionals with a broad set of event related skills and experiences. While The Trade Group has been heavily involved in producing and managing live events for decades, the goal of the Special Events Team is to expand and elevate the level of talent serving The Trade Group’s special event and activation clients. As Stone explains, “Basically, we are growing a team of event and activation ninjas. Skillsets include programmable lighting, A/V, large video walls, scenic set design, CAD, prepress art layout, logistics, estimating, labor coordination, venue selection, vendor selection, and the list goes on.
