fter making her first live appearance at the 1939 New York World's Fair, Elsie the Cow returned for the 1964 World's Fair in the Big Apple. One of the top 10 advertising icons of all time, the bovine "spokescow" for New York-based Borden Co. starred in her own musical revue at the expo, "All About Daisy," with a score by the Broadway composer Kay Swift. The exhibit, which was also the first built by Dimensional Communications Inc. of Northvale, NJ, featured Elsie presiding at a board of directors meeting, where an inventor tried to persuade her to market chocolate-covered onions.
