XICATO Teams with EXPODESIGN and Light Collective to Win Best Booth Award at Light Fair International 2015

XICATO, a leading developer and manufacturer of LED lighting technology, based in San Jose, CA, teamed with Light Collective, a lighting design group in the United Kingdom, and EXPODESIGN, a designer and producer of exhibits, environments and events in the Chicago area, to produce a Building Integration Pavilion Best Booth Award winner at Light Fair International 2015 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.

Playing on the theme of comic book hero, “XICATO Man”, defeats the typical villains of early LED lighting technology by snuffing out “Dr. Flicker” and other “Light Destroyers” at LFI 2015.

The 20 foot by 30 foot island exhibit featured a 22 foot by 16 foot by 12 foot high closed lighting presentation theater to demonstrate XICATO’s LED technologies in a controlled environment. The exterior of the theater was clad in comic book styled frames depicting “XICATO Man” in action against “Light Destroyers”: “Dr. Flicker”, “The Gray Lady”, “The Changeling”, and “Baron Von Overspill”. The structure, replete with theater marquee, announced the show and presentation times of the lighting demonstrations.

Booth staff donned “XICATO Man” capes to further drive the theme of “Light Avengers” and XICATO’s ability to overcome the typical obstacles of LED technology to bring state-of-the-art LED lighting solutions to the market place.

This is the second Best Booth Award that Xicato has received from Light Fair International when teamed with EXPODESIGN, Inc. The first award was a candy store themed exhibit featuring walls and columns of colorful jelly beans used to demonstrate the superiority of XICATO’s LED technology over halogen induction lighting.
