EXHIBITOR's Randal Acker and Certified Trade Show Marketers Share the Exhibitor Perspective with TSNN Awards Attendees

More than 125 trade show professionals came together for the annual Trade Show News Network (TSNN) Awards and conference, October 28-30, in Atlantic City. For this year’s event, TSNN President and Editor-in-chief Rachel Wimberly brought in Randal Acker, President of Exhibitor Media Group, to moderate a panel of experienced trade show and event marketing professionals in a session that provided the trade show organizers the opportunity to hear the perspective of the exhibitors. Acker recruited a panel of three Certified Trade Show Marketer graduates who have attained the highest level of certification, Diamond. The panelists included Diane Benson, Americas Exhibit Leader, GE Healthcare; Dominique Cook, Trade Show Manager, Marvin Windows and Doors; and Dana Tilghman, Senior Trade Show and Events Planner, Minitab, Inc. “Our CTSM certification program has nearly 600 graduates and more than 3,500 candidates," said Acker, "so it was easy for us to assemble a panel of passioniate face-to-face marketers who were willing to jump on stage to share their thoughts with TSNN attendees.”
The panel shared best practices and exhibit and event trends, and they discussed areas where organizers could improve how they engage their exhibitors. Acker also presented research and trends from other exhibitor’s perspectives via EXHIBITOR magazine’s 25,000 corporate marketer readers. “The TSNN Awards audience, many of whom were organizers from the fastest-growing trade shows in the U.S., were fortunate to take part in an important conversation with Randal and the three diamond-level CTSM graduates,” said Wimberly. “Exhibitors want to have a true partnership with organizers, so that they BOTH can have a successful show.” “The panel was enlightening," said Carrie Ferenac, President and Co-Founder, CNTV.
