Sky-High Designs
Given the rising cost of exhibit-hall concrete, every bit of space – including the air above it – needs to somehow deliver on exhibitors' objectives. That's why many marketers turn to overhead elements not only to help attendees find their space but also to create an arresting allure that might draw them in from the aisles. And to squeeze even more effectiveness from this aerial area, some add a bit of lighting to ensure attendees turn their eyes to the skies and then to the booths below. Exhibitor: Ilmas S.R.L. Show: EuroShop Design: Ilmas S.R.L., Bernate Ticino, Italy, 39-02-93900-353, www.ilmas.com EuroShop is all about drama and flair. That's why these light fixtures from Italian lighting firm Ilmas S.R.L. formed the perfect ceiling element over a corner of its space. Cool Canopy
Exhibitor: Accuray Inc. Show: American Society for Radiation Oncology Design: 3D Exhibits Inc., Schaumburg, IL, 800-471-9617, www.3dexhibits.com A massive 42-by-50-foot fabric canopy not only defined this space for Accuray Inc., but also served as a projection surface for a soothing blue hue courtesy of truss-suspended light fixtures. Sistine Scene
Exhibitor: Keck Genesis Exhibitions India Pvt Ltd. Show: EuroShop Design: Keck Genesis Exhibitions India Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, 91-22-2684-3409, www.keck-genesis.com Taking a cue from Michelangelo, designers crafted this beautiful overhead artwork. But instead of saints and angels, the depicted compositions had a decidedly Eastern flair. Cutting-Edge Cap
Exhibitor: Hyundai Motor Co. Show: International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Design: Plus Infini, Seoul, South Korea, 82-2-3444-3660, www.p-infini.com Fabricated by Taylor Manufacturing Industries Inc. for Hyundai Motor Co., this aluminum structure lent the automaker's exhibit a high-tech presence and an air of elegance courtesy of a millwork facade, an LED-illuminated fabric skin, and 3-D rear-lit LED logos.

Show: EuroShop Design: ATO Spolka z Ograniczona Odpowiedzialnoscia Sp.K., Kalisz, Poland, 48-62-767-85-00, www.ato.pl This provider of store fixtures and signage employed its own products to craft a one-of-a-kind ceiling structure. Square Flair
Exhibitor: Melinski Minuth Sp. Zo.o. Show: EuroShop Design: Melinski Minuth Sp. Zo.o., Poznan, Poland, 48-61-842-92-83, www.melinski-minuth.com.pl The power of repetition and color contrast took center stage in this stunning structure for a Polish design firm. Amid the 19 white lightboxes suspended from trusses floated an additional cube in the company's corporate-green hue, drawing the eye and branding the ceiling ensemble.
