Nashville CVC Adds Eddie Canaday to Sales Team

The Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp (CVC) announces the addition of Eddie Canaday to the sales team as Director, National Accounts. Canaday will serve as the in-market representative for Washington, D.C., connecting with both new prospects and repeat clients who are interested in booking Nashville as a convention destination. He is based in Washington, D.C., serving the mid-Atlantic area, and joins Jen Sullivan to complete the Nashville CVC mid-Atlantic team.

“Eddie’s experience and deep bench of connections speak for itself, and we’re thrilled he has joined the team,” said Adrienne Siemers, Chief Sales Officer for the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. “As the convention market in Music City continues to scale, we’re fortunate to have an engaged team with both Eddie and Jen to diversify our book of business and double our sales efforts with association clients for years to come.”

“I’m excited to be part of the NCVC team and the Nashville hospitality family,” added Eddie Canaday. “I’m also looking forward to showcasing Nashville to many D.C. area clients during ASAE’s Annual Meeting and Exposition in Nashville this year. I feel honored to represent such a welcoming, vibrant team and service-oriented destination.”

Canaday previously worked for Visit Salt Lake in the Washington, D.C. market and brings with him over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, public relations, and leadership. Canaday is a member of the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA), where he currently serves on the IGLTA Foundation’s board of directors, as well as co-Secretary to the Foundation’s executive board of directors. He also serves as Chair to the Fellowship Committee of IGLTA. In addition, Canaday is a member of Meeting Professionals International, Professional Convention Management Association, and CVBReps in Washington, DC.
